Having read the best-selling novel “Labyrinth” by the British writer Kate Mosse, I was really hyped about Carcassonne and its ancient citadel. It was the highlight of my trip to Occitanie.

Cordes sur Ciel
I found Cordes sur Ciel almost by accident. While wandering around in Albi, I spotted a bus with the destination blind saying “Cordes sur Ciel” — and I thought, “sur Ciel”? Like, in the sky? My curiosity got the better of me, and I was on a bus heading to Cordes sur Ciel before I knew it.
Albi
A UNESCO World Heritage site, Albi is a beautiful medieval town. Not so far from Toulouse, roughly 1 hr away by train, Albi feels like a smaller version of Toulouse, with the signature pinky-coloured brick constructions everywhere.
Toulouse
Even with the slightly chilly winds in March, it was hard not to fall in love with Toulouse. Walking through its street was like journeying back into the medieval era.
Chinatown in Paris
Paris has several neighbourhoods with a concentration of Asian communities. But the Chinatown in the 13th arrondissement is the most extensive one in terms of size and scope.
Summertime in Paris
It’s summertime in Paris. The days are longer, and the streets are full of festivities. A fleeting moment of joy and sunshine... A rare moment where people in Paris are generally in a good mood.
